"You will be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Jesus instructed His disciples to carry the message of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. To successfully accomplish this endeavor, He commanded them to first start in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus emphasized the importance of reaching out to one's own city and community first. It is vital for a church to have a global vision, but that vision must first start with a desire for community outreach. 

Community and Family focus has been at the heart of our church's vision since our inception. It is our desire for Living Word Church, its grounds and its facilities to be an integral and active part of the life of our community. To facilitate this vision of Community Outreach, we sponsor events, groups and activities for community and family involvement. 

Family Events
Spring Fling - Each Spring, we host a Community Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt. Families bring their own picnics and enjoy a time of fellowship, games and fun.

Kids Encounter - Each Summer, we sponosr a 3-night Kids Encounter for families and children in our community. The Kids Encounters include music, puppets, games, giveaways and evangelistic outreach.

Hallelujah Night - Each Fall, on the last Wednesday of October, we host a free community wide Halloween alternative called Hallelujah Night. Families and children enjoy inflatibles, hayride, carnival games, petting zoo and plenty of candy and gift bags.

Boy Scout Troop 115
We are proud to be the sponsor of Boy Scout Troop 115. The Boy Scouts meet at our church on a weekly basis. Mr. Jack Tomberlin is the leader of the troop and plans an active schedule, as well as, provides a moral and inspirational foundation for the Boy Scouts.

Voting Center
Due to the growth in population in our area, the voting prestincts have been redistricted. We are honored to be the Voting Center for Precinct 60.

Homeowner's Associations
Many of the area Homeowner's Associations use our facilities for their neighborhood meetings.

Baseball Teams
Each year, a number of little league baseball teams use our baseball fields and grounds for thier practices. We are blessed with the acerage that allows our grounds to act as a practice facility that can accomodate multiple teams at one time.
