Purpose
The purpose of Living Word Church's Children's Ministry is to effectively minister to and disciple the children who attend our church and the children of families who visit our church.
Scripture
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man." -Luke 2:52
Why Teach a Child?
First: A child has a great capacity to learn.
Second: The godly training of a child will not only influence him for the rest of his life, but many other people as well.
Third: It is difficult to "unteach" the first principles taught to a child when young.
Fourth: Parents want to attend a church where their children can be taught well.
Sunday Format
Each Sunday Kids Zone is split into two segments from 10am until 11:45am. From 10am to 11am children attend age appropriate Sunday School classes. These classes use curriculum for instructional teaching and training in the Word of God. From 11am to 11:45am all age groups come together for Children's Church. Children's Church consists of fun and fellowship with games, crafts and snacks.
Nursery: 0-3 years
Classes: 4-7 years & 8-11 years
Wednesday Format
Each Wednesday night the children enjoy a time of teaching, activities and crafts from 6:30pm to 8:15pm.
Nursery: 0-2 years
Toddlers: 3-5 years
Children: 6-11 years
Performances
Each year Kids Zone provides the children with the opportunity to minister and perform before the Church by conducting a Children's Choir Program. These performances are conducted during the Easter and Christmas seasons.
